The key to prosperity is seeking the Kingdom first, and not prosperity. True Prosperity (not the type the world has) comes when we believe that we are already prosperous.
We need to understand that we have been made prosperous in Christ. Being made in the image of God, he has made us rich with potential, and ability. Our recreation in Christ and baptism of the Holy Spirit unlocks this potential.
As we step out to be who God created us to be our potential is released. Just as the Lepers were healed as they went. Their healing was deposited with them when they believed, but released as they went.
As we follow after God, and follow after his plan for our life... our riches would be realsed and as the scriptures say... all these things will be added on to us.
It is not in the pursuing of things that we are made rich. We are made rich because we came to Christ, and as we follow him our wealth is made manifest.
